Mustard Greens

  • 1 bunch of Mustard Greens finely chopped
  • ½ tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 whole dry red chilli
  • Pinch of asafetida
  • 2 cloves of garlic chopped
  • Cooking oil

  • Heat oil in a skillet.
  • Add garlic pieces, asafetida, dry red chilli and chilli flakes
  • Add chopped Mustard Greens. Stir fry well. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  • Cook covered till it is tender ( do not add water).
  • Take out in a serving dish.
  • Eat with hot roti.

Mustard greens are pungent but high in Vitamin A and Vitamin K.
